Latest Report from the Director - May 2026

Here are some ministry highlights for the last month:

Good News Clubs finished for the school year at most of the schools this last month. ILCS had their last meeting today and Calimesa will wrap up on Thursday. We gave out CEF 60-day devotional books at the last club and had them do the first lesson together with us. We also encouraged them to find a VBS this summer and committed Lord willing to return in the fall.

It was a joy to train two of our GNC volunteers to help with the LA Fair. Thom was a great inviter and Teresa did a great job telling the Wordless Book. Among those she got to share with she had a couple of very young kids and also two special needs adults. As a retired preschool director and teacher, she was particularly equipped to adapt and simplify where needed. My wife Val came and invited for a few hours with our grandson Daniel even though she was tired from a cold. Alison our daughter also came and gave the gospel. She even stayed until 11pm to help close up. We even had a family come in specially to hear the message at 10pm. One 10-year-old boy who came in by himself and listened intently said, “this is all new to me I have never heard anything from the Bible. Yes, I want to pray and accept Jesus!” One girl walking by late at night excitedly said: “Look mom I went there last year and I heard the story. Remember?” Pray that the seed planted will grow and produce faith in Jesus. Four children acknowledged making salvation decisions. PTL

Val and I had the privilege to travel to La Mirada with two of our longtime supporters and fellow missionaries to hear CEF president Jeremiah Cho speak and support the local CEF work there. I also celebrated the lives of two faithful servants who have been welcomed into heaven: Edy and Doris. They both had hearts to reach the next generation with God’s love. Praise the Lord for children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren who testified to their own faith in Christ. “I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well.” 2 Timothy 1:5
