Latest Report from the Director - September 2025
Here are some ministry highlights for the last month:
I was able to attend the Junior Youth Challenge (JYC) online training sessions offered from our international headquarters and our So. California office. We are prayerfully looking at how we can establish these clubs in middle schools in our area. Some are offered after-school like elementary Good News Clubs and others are offered at lunch as student led clubs
In preparation for the Good News Club year, I ordered materials and Bibles to be given out at the kick-off trainings. More lessons will be ordered in October as they come back in stock.
We had a good group of returning and new volunteers at our first GNC Kick-off Training this last Saturday. This coming Saturday we will be in Big Bear doing a training for the clubs there. We will need to meet with other groups in Rialto, San Bernardino and Hesperia also.
Facility Use requests need to be completed for each district and school site as well. Some will require fees paid others have no charge.
Over the Labor Day Weekend, we led the children’s program for the Chinese Inland Valley Family Church leadership retreat. We had 20 children ages 2 to 11. One of the highlights of the weekend was receiving “encouragement notes” from the adult group. Two of the notes were from high schoolers who are now serving in church ministry. One said, “I try to bring the same energy you guys did leading us as children, now that I’m leading music with the kids Sunday school.”
Inland Leader’s GNC started in August and today was our second meeting we have a solid group of about 20 kids from Kindergarten to 8th grade.
CEF ministry year statistics for September 2024 - August 2025 highlights:
- In Southern California we reached 76,464 children with 12,873 professions of faith.
- In Greater San Bernardino we reached 708 children with 73 decisions.
