I had the privilege of being a part of the CEF So. CA monthly Zoom meeting on February 19th. Here is a list of some of the things that were covered:

1. There were many encouraging testimonies of ministry going on this winter.

2. Some areas have had successful fund-raising dinners and other appeals.

3. We learned about upcoming CEF outreach events that will be in So. California. In May and June of 2026, the Soccer World Cup will have a number of matches at SoFi stadium. CEF USA is planning a number of one day soccer themed Party Clubs in the area. We will have an opportunity to participate as well. Even further out in summer 2028 the Olympics will come back to LA. We are strategizing how to reach children during that event as well.

4. We also learned that Jr. High Club curriculum is being updated and training will be available in the near future.

5. Committee training has also been updated and will be provided in person when we can schedule it. It would be a good time to organize a training as we have new members join.

Over the last two weeks we moved our CEF office once again back to my house. With Sanctuary Church moving into Valley Baptist’s facilities and merging their ministries, the space that we were using will be needed. Sanctuary is great partner church and wants to work together on reaching children.

We have committed to working the LA Fair on Sunday May the 4th.

We will be leading children’s retreat programs on Memorial Day weekend and Fourth of July.

Christian Youth in Action will be held at Master’s University from June 21-27, 2025. I will be a leader again this year.

Pray for the Lord’s provision for all that we are doing.
